A road movie that goes from Rio de Janeiro to the hinterlands of Bahia, on a journey of two thousand kilometers, to revisit a massacre that occurred during the military dictatorship, with the help of three survivors. The repression was looking for Captain Carlos Lamarca, considered the number one public enemy of the dictatorship. Along with Lamarca, José Campos Barreto (Zequinha) was also murdered, a resident of the region and former commander of one of the only labor strikes that occurred after the military coup. After years of oblivion and fear, the cities where the tragedy happened today hold a mass and a pilgrimage in honor of Lamarca and Zequinha, being a holiday on September 17th, the date of the deaths, in the two main cities where the events took place.
