In Playas de Tijuana, a young queer man fleeing Russia to avoid being conscripted in the Ukraine war due to his identity, and a middle-aged gay man navigating Northern Mexican machismo, connect through a gay hookup app where they hide behind digital alter egos. When their relationship moves offline, they come face to face with the wounds inflicted by their respective exiles. Presented at the Venice Film Festival.
