Edition marked by the presence of Russian genius Aleksandr Sokúrov, to whom MOSTRA offered a retrospective and a luxury book. Sokúrov was also responsible for this year’s artworks. The 26th MOSTRA also paid a tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini, also with a great retrospective and a book titled after him. This was the first year of cooperation between EDIÇÕES DA MOSTRA and COSAC & NAIFY, which continues since then, filling gaps in the Brazilian cinematographic literature. Bahman Ghobadi wins the Jury Award again, now with the film “MAROONED IN IRAQ”.
