In its 49th edition, Mostra will screen 85 Brazilian films, featuring works by new and established directors, restored feature films, and more.

The Mostra Brasil section — a contemporary showcase of Brazil’s audiovisual production — presents 60 feature films, while six titles compete in the New Directors Competition.

Among the classics, rediscoveries, and restored films are titles such as "Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures" by Marcelo Gomes, "The Girl from Ipanema" by Leon Hirszman, "Lua Cambará – Nas Escadarias do Palácio" by Rosemberg Cariry, "Tonic Dominant" by Lina Chamie, and "A Starry Sky" by Tata Amaral.

The lineup also includes TV series such as "Spring in the Teeth – The Story of Secos & Molhados", by Miguel de Almeida, which delves into the remarkable journey of one of the most revolutionary groups in Brazilian popular music; "Choque de Cultura – A Série", produced by Canal Brasil and directed by Fernando Fraiha; and "Black Tarp", a drama by Renato Ciasca and Francisco Garcia.

Special screenings include "The Son of a Thousand Men", an adaptation of the Portuguese bestseller by Valter Hugo Mãe, directed by Daniel Rezende and making its world premiere at the Mostra, and "The Secret Agent", by Kleber Mendonça Filho, Brazil’s official submission for the 2026 Oscars.

Meanwhile, the new Brazilian production “O Diário de Pilar na Amazônia”, by Eduardo Vaisman and Rodrigo Van Der Put, opens the 2nd Mostrinha, a section dedicated to children and young audiences. Unreleased national titles, such as "D.P.A. 4: O Fantástico Reino de Ondion", by Mauro Lima, are also part of the selection.
