The 50th São Paulo International Film Festival comes to a close this Thursday (29) after two weeks of a historic edition celebrating the festival’s 50th anniversary. From October 15 to 29, the Mostra brought 394 titles from 90 countries to São Paulo, screened across 57 movie theaters, cultural venues and CEUs, in addition to hosting meetings, debates, tributes and special activities.

The winners of the 50th edition were announced during the awards and closing ceremony, held at Teatro Cultura Artística. The festival then closes its program with the screening of “You Can See Everything”, by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim.

The 50th Mostra Jury, composed of Ali Asgari, Boots Riley, César Augusto Acevedo and Laís Bodanzky, selected the Bandeira Paulista Trophy winners from among the 15 titles in the New Directors Competition that received the most votes from the audience during the festival’s first week.

In addition to the Jury Awards, the winners selected by the audience and critics were announced, as well as the recipients of the Brada Award, Netflix Award, Projeto Paradiso Award and Prisma Queer Award.
