A total of 1,500 passengers have just boarded the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Hakata, in western Japan. Shortly after departure, the head of railway security gets a call from a man who claims to have planted a bomb on board. It will go off if the train’s speed drops below 80 km/h. The countdown begins: the nation’s full resources are mobilized to track down the terrorist group and pay the ransom they demand. This colossal thriller dramatically captures the desperate confrontation between the investigative authorities and the perpetrator, who meticulously executes his scheme, while showcasing the extreme human drama among the passengers trapped in this tense situation.
