Carlos Saura passed away in February 2023 at the age of 91, leaving behind more than 50 films and one of the most prolific and celebrated careers in cinema history. His works, awarded at the world’s major festivals, have transcended borders and generations. Through his previously unseen personal archive, which gathers photographs from the late 1940s to 2023 and recordings made by his daughter, Anna, during the last ten years of his life, we see Carlos in his most personal light. The documentary reveals the man behind the filmmaker in an intimate portrait of his final years, of his way of seeing, creating, and facing the passage of time without ever giving up his passion for work.
