The twilight of adolescence and the onset of adulthood merge at a roadside gas station, where Neto observes the movement of the world and imagines the paths he could follow. Ana dreams of fantastic destinations; Fú simply wants to have fun along the journey; and Betão, on the verge of turning forty, once again puts off deciding which direction to take. Through Neto’s eyes, each of them reflects a possible future. In this reverse road movie, they are the ones standing still on the shoulder while the road moves before their eyes.
