Murad lives with his wife and son in Berlin, where he works in his father’s restaurant alongside his younger brother Kerem. Their deeply religious family is shaken when an intimate photo revealing Kerem’s secret relationship with another man spreads through their Turkish community. After Kerem is brutally attacked, the family turns to a respected sheikh, who convinces them that Kerem’s sexuality is a sign of demonic possession. As Kerem’s mental health deteriorates, Murad becomes one of the few people willing to stand by him. Trying to save his brother brings Murad into conflict with his family and ultimately with his own repressed identity.
