

A filmmaker born in Rio de Janeiro. With a background in film, radio broadcasting, and journalism, he worked for 19 years as an editor and director of programs, documentaries, and music DVDs for Canal Brasil. He co-directed the short film “Mauro Shampoo: Soccer Player, Hairdresser and Macho” (2006) with Leonardo Cunha Lima, winner of the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix for Best Documentary Short Film. His first feature film, “Loki” (2008), won the Audience Award for best Brazilian documentary at the 32nd Mostra, the same award received by “Cássia” (2014) at the 38th Mostra. He also directed the feature film “Dossiê Jango” (2013) and the award-winning documentary miniseries “O Caso Escola Base” (2023).
