

Born in Krokek, Sweden, in 1989. He studied at the Valand Academy in Gothenburg and, in addition to being a director, is also a film critic. Among his works as a director are his graduation project, the feature film “The Wind Bloweth Where It Listeth” (2017), which had its international premiere at the 41st Mostra, and “XXL” (2024, 48th Mostra), co-directed with Sawandi Groskind, and screened at FIDMarseille. Ekberg has also directed numerous short films, including “2gether” (2022), awarded at the Göteborg Film Festival. Together with Groskind, Saarlotta Virri and Hannah Wiker Wikström, he has been running the independent anti-capitalist production company POST POST since 2022.
