

João Dumans was born in Ouro Preto, and lives and works in Belo Horizonte. He directed the feature films “Araby” (2017, 41st Mostra), with Affonso Uchôa, screened at film festivals like Rotterdam, San Sebastián, and London, and “The Lines of My Hand” (2023). He worked as a screenwriter and editor on films such as “Where I Grow Old” (2016), by Marília Rocha, “The Hidden Tiger” (2014), by Affonso Uchôa, and “The Residents” (2010), by Tiago Mata Machado.
