Born in 1973, he studied film directing in Tallinn, Estonia. He has lectured on film history and directing at the University of Tallinn and the Estonian Academy of Arts. He has also curated and created visuals for several Estonian and international museum exhibitions. He has directed, among others, the feature films “Revolution of Pigs” (2004), “The Art of Selling” (2006), “Disco and Atomic War” (2010, 34th Mostra), co-directed with Kiur Aarma; “The Dissidents” (2017), “Sleeping Beast” (2022), and “The Shadow” (2024), presented at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
