Gabriel Azorín

Born in Hellín, Spain, 1981. He graduated in Directing from Madrid Film School (ECAM) and with a postgraduate degree from the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián. He has directed the short films “Greyhounds” (2012), “Tomorrow, The Bullet” (2015) and “The Noise of the Universe” (2021), and the medium-length documentary “Mutants” (2016). His work has been screened at film festivals such as San Sebastián, Entrevues de Belfort, the Seville European Film Festival and Ficunam. He is a member of the collective lacasinegra, whose work has been exhibited in many contemporary art centres in Spain. He worked as an artistic advisor in films such as “Azor” (2021, 45th Mostra), by Andreas Fontana, and “H” (2022), by Carlos Pardo Ros. “Last Night I Conquered
the City of Thebes” is his first fiction feature.
