A filmmaker and researcher from Belo Horizonte, she currently lives in Montreal, Canada, while pursuing her doctorate in animation cinema. Fernanda has been working as a screenwriter, producer, and director since 2005. She was part of Berlinale Talents and is a co-founder of Apiário Estúdio Criativo. She directed the animated short films “Marambé” (2011) and later “Tormenta” (2014), which was awarded at various Brazilian festivals. “Ana, en Passant” is her first animated feature film.
