

Daniel Blake Schwartz is a Boston-based filmmaker. He directed the short films “Ritual” (2018) and “Cotton Fever” (2022), which have played at film festivals in North America and Europe. His work centers around themes of class, social isolation, and addiction. Since getting sober, he has dedicated himself to helping others in recovery through organizations like Youth on Fire and the Cambridge Addiction Advocacy Group, as well as providing support on the streets of Greater Boston for individuals struggling with addiction. His debut feature film, also named “Cotton Fever”, is inspired by his lived experience.
