Brazilian filmmaker born in 1981. Bruno Jorge has a body of work that moves between documentary, experimental cinema, visual arts, and ethnography. He studied social communication in São Paulo and documentary cinema in Paris, and holds a master’s degree in performing arts from Liège, Belgium. Among his feature documentaries are “Piripkura” (2017), co-directed with Mariana Oliva and Renata Terra, winner of the Amsterdam Human Rights Award at IDFA; “The Invention of the Other” (2022), exhibited at festivals such as Moscow, Vienna, Sheffield, and Biarritz; and “Useless Utensils” (2024).
