

Nepalese writer and director, alumnus of the Sundance Institute, Berlinale Talents, and Locarno Filmmakers Academy. He co-wrote “The Black Hen” (2015), winner of Venice International Critics’ Week, and “Shambhala” (2024), selected in the Berlin Competition, both being Nepal’s Oscar entries. He became the first Nepali director in an official selection at Cannes with his short film “Lori” (2022), which received a jury special mention. “Elephants in the Fog” is his feature directorial debut.
