A filmmaker born in New York, he lives in London and holds American, British, and Italian citizenship. A 2004 graduate of Vassar College, he began his career working with directors Jim Jarmusch and Rebecca Miller. In 2011, he undertook the restoration of “Burroughs: The Movie” (1983), the debut film of his late uncle Howard Brookner, long thought lost. The remastered version premiered at the New York Film Festival in 2014. In addition to shorts, installations, and music videos, he directed “Uncle Howard” (2016), screened at Sundance, Berlin, and San Sebastián. He also co-wrote and co-produced Ana Rocha de Sousa’s “Listen” (2020, 45th Mostra), awarded at Venice.
