The 49th São Paulo International Film Festival takes place from October 16 to 30. This year’s program features 374 films from 80 countries, to be screened across 52 movie theaters, cultural venues, and public education centers (CEUs) throughout São Paulo.

Presented in the sections International Perspective, New Directors Competition, Mostra Brasil, and Special Screening, the lineup also includes restored films, virtual reality experiences, and the 2nd edition of Mostrinha, a program dedicated to children. As part of the Spotlight on the UK, the Mostra also highlights a selection of recent British productions.

The poster for the 49th edition had its art created by the Portuguese writer Valter Hugo Mãe.
