50ª mostra > filmes > Maine-Ocean Express
Dejanira, a Brazilian dancer, takes the Maine-Océan train at Montparnasse station. Because she did not validate her ticket, she is confronted by two inflexible ticket inspectors and helped by a Parisian lawyer, who acts as her interpreter and whom she befriends. Like a comic Tower of Babel, the film unfolds around the miscommunications between characters of different nationalities, classes, and social positions, emphasizing the absurd nature and arbitrariness of these divisions.
4K restoration.
