Japanese director and animator. He began his career in the late 1980s as an animator on television shows, and has been working at Studio4°C since the 2000s. He directed the short films “Kung-Fu Love” (2006), from the musical anthology “Amazing Nuts!”; “In Darkness Dwells” (2008), from the anthology “Batman: Gotham Knight”; and “Honey Tokyo” (2010). “ChaO,” his first feature film, won the Jury Prize at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
