

An Indigenous Michif (Métis) filmmaker and philosopher, he was born in British Columbia, Canada. He holds a PhD in philosophy from Pennsylvania State University. He directed the short films “Luk’Luk’I: Mother” (2014), “Balmoral Hotel” (2015) and “Srorrim” (2016). His first feature film, “Luk’Luk’I” (2017), won the Best First Feature award at the Toronto Film Festival. In 2019, he took part in Berlinale Talents. “Manhunt” is his second feature film.
