He then directed films such as “Njinga – A Rainha de Angola” (2013), “Uma Vida à Espera” (2016), which won the Audience Award at the FESTin – Festival de Cinema Itinerante de Língua Portuguesa, “A Impossibilidade de Estar Só” (2020), “O Som que Desce da Terra” (2021), “Salgueiro Maia: The Implicated” (2022), “Soares Is Cool” (2024), “The Englishman’s Papers” (2025), screened at the 49th Mostra and the Tokyo International Film Festival, and “Comrade Cunhal” (2025).
