Born in Lisbon in 1975, he has directed some of the best-known fiction series for Portuguese and Angolan television channels. He made his feature-length film directing and production debut with “Assim Assim” (2012). He spent two years in Angola, where he made “Njinga – A Rainha de Angola” (2013), the most-watched Angolan film in history. “Uma Vida à Espera” (2016) won the Audience Award at the FESTin – Festival de Cinema Itinerante de Língua Portuguesa. This was followed by “A Impossibilidade de Estar Só” (2020) and “O Som que Desce da Terra” (2021). In 2022, “Salgueiro Maia - O Implicado” premiered, and in 2024, “Soares é Fixe”.
