

Born in Austria in 1981. He studied stage and film design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and film at Le Fresnoy, in France. Since 2004, his works have been showcased and awarded at festivals such as Berlinale, Viennale, BFI London, Sarajevo, FIDMarseille, IDFA and BAFICI. Brameshuber directed the feature-length documentary films “Muezzin” (2009); “And There We Are, in the Middle” (2014) and “Movements of a Nearby Mountain” (2019), winner of the Grand Prix at the Cinéma du Réel and presented at the 43rd Mostra. Retrospectives of his work were held at the Austrian Film Archive in Vienna and the Anthology Film Archives, in New York.
