

Born in Guarapari, Espírito Santo, Rodrigo Aragão is a director, screenwriter, and special effects makeup artist, as well as the founder of the production company Fábulas Filmes. His work moves between horror, social criticism, and Brazilian folklore. He has directed, among others, the feature films “Mud Zombies” (2008), “A Noite do Chupacabras” (2011), “The Black Forest” (2018), presented at the Mar del Plata Film Festival, “Cemetery of Lost Souls” (2020), and “Evil Within” (2025). His films have been screened and awarded at national and international festivals. In addition to directing, he is also known for his work in makeup and practical effects.
