

Born in 1976, Ralitza Petrova studied film and video art at the University of the Arts London and fiction directing at the UK’s National Film and Television School (NFTS). Among her works are the short films “Rotten Apple” (2007), awarded at the Berlinale, and “By the Grace of God” (2009), presented at the Cannes and Clermont-Ferrand film festivals, and her feature directorial debut, “Godless” (2016, 40th Mostra), winner of the Golden Leopard for best film at Locarno and awarded at several festivals around the world. Her films have also screened at art institutions such as the Tate Modern in London and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. “Lust” is her second feature film.
