

Born in Tokyo, Momoko Seto studied at Le Fresnoy before working as a filmmaker at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). In 2021, she received the CNRS Crystal Medal, the highest honor awarded to a scientific filmmaker. Her films blend live-action footage, animation, time-lapse and macro photography. She directed the short film series “Planet”, made up of “Planet A” (2008), “Planet Z” (2011), “Planet ∑” (2015), awarded at the Berlin International Film Festival, and “Planet ∞” (2017). “Dandelion’s Odyssey” is her first feature film.
