
A film producer from Rio de Janeiro, she has documented major figures in Brazilian music and culture. She worked as production director of the documentary “Life Somewhere Else” (1995), directed by Walter Salles, and as assistant director for “The Oyster and the Wind” (1997), by Walter Lima Jr. She directed the documentaries “Chame Gente – Uma História do Trio Elétrico” (2005) and “Contratempo” (2008, 32nd Mostra), the latter in partnership with actress Malu Mader. In 2013, she directed her first fiction feature film, “Muitos Homens num Só”, exhibited at the 38th Mostra. She also directed the documentary “Refavela 40” (2019), about Gilberto Gil’s album, which was nominated for an International Emmy, and is co-creator and co-director of the series “Sob Pressão” (2017–2022).
