

Born in Asunción, Paraguay, in 1973. A writer and director, he studied communications in his home country and later filmmaking at the London Film School. From 2010 to 2012, he headed Paraguay’s first public television station. He directed, among others, the short films “Man from the North” (2009), “Ultima Street” (2010), and “The Lost Voice” (2016), winner of the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film at the Venice Film Festival. His debut feature film, “The Heiresses” (2018), won two Silver Bears and the critics prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. “Narciso” is his second feature film.
