

Born in Barcelona in 1949. He produced and co-produced films by directors such as Lisandro Alonso, Naomi Kawase, José Luis Guerín, Albert Serra, Marc Recha and Javier Rebollo. He also produced “The Strange Case of Angelica” (2010), directed by Manoel de Oliveira and the opening film of the 34th Mostra; “Finisterrae” (2010), directed by Sergio Caballero and winner of the Tiger Award for Best Film at the International Film Festival Rotterdam; and “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives” (2010, 34th Mostra), directed by Apichatpong Weerasethakul and winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes. As a director, he made the documentaries “Familystrip”, screened at the 34th Mostra, and “Blow Horn”, both in 2009, as well as the feature films “Falling Star” (2014) and “Love Me Not” (2019), both presented at the Mostra and at Rotterdam. He was a jury member of the 39th Mostra and has served on the juries of festivals including Locarno, San Sebastián and Karlovy Vary.
