

A director and screenwriter born in North Macedonia, Kosara Mitić made the short films “Drop by Sometime” (2013), “Birthday” (2015), and “The Red Room” (2016), exhibited at various film festivals around the world. She was also part of Berlinale Talents. Her films investigate dynamics of silencing and power within institutions, with particular attention to the experiences of teenage girls and young women. “17” is her first feature film.
