An Indo-Kenyan-Canadian documentary photographer, filmmaker, and lawyer. Her work spans nonfiction and narrative projects exploring displacement, belonging, and access to justice. She participated in the DOC Institute’s Breakthrough Program and the Hot Docs Emerging Filmmaker Program, and she’s also is filmmaker-in-residence at York University’s Refugee Law Lab. She worked as an associate producer on “Scarborough” (2021) and has directed the short-films “Not Yet Home” and “Level Justice”. “The Sandbox” is her first feature film.
