A film and television director based in New York. The son of a Japanese mother and a Polish father, he was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Josef holds an MFA in film from New York University. He directed the feature films “Manos Sucias” (2014) and “Catch the Fair One” (2021), both awarded at the Tribeca Film Festival. He also directed several episodes of television series such as “Narcos” (2015-2017), “The Terror” (2018-2026), and "Tokyo Vice" (2022-2024).
