

Hosam Abu Dan is a Palestinian director and producer from the Gaza Strip, born in 1992. He has worked across film, television, and media production since 2010. He holds a diploma in Multimedia Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication, alongside training in Documentary and Cinematic Directing. In 2016, he founded the production company New Scene for Media & Artistic Production, through which he directs and produces documentary, narrative, digital, and television projects in collaboration with leading regional and international networks. He directed, among others, the documentary “Gaza Sound Man” (2024), awarded at various festivals and screened at Sheffield DocFest. “Thirteen in Gaza” is his first fiction feature film.
