A Syrian filmmaker, photographer and producer, he has spent more than 14 years documenting the impact of war and displacement. During the Syrian revolution, he co- founded the Aleppo Media Center, a citizen journalism platform dedicated to recording the conflict in the country. He is now based in the United Kingdom as a refugee. He served as director of photography on “The White Helmets” (2016), winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film, and assistant director on “Last Men in Aleppo” (2018), nominated for an Emmy, and produced “Death Without Mercy” (2024).
