Castro is a director, cinematographer, and editor. He made more than 30 documentaries on social themes in South America, the Amazon Rainforest and the Middle East. He directed the documentary short “A Fortaleza” (2021) and the webseries “Afegãos no Brasil” (2022), “Negritude Branquitude” (2018) and “Cidade ao Redor: Retratos da Luta por Moradia em Curitiba” (2017). “Notes on an Exile” is his first feature film.
