Both were born in 1995 and met while attending the BA in Film Studies at the National University of Colombia. Juan Miguel is an adherent member of the Colombian Association of Film Editors, and Esteban is currently pursuing the KinoEyes Erasmus master in screenwriting. They believe in a cinema made with friendsusing horizontal production models, and their filmography is centered on character studies where alienation from society often constitutes the main axis of the narrative. In 2020 they cofounded the production company Selva Producciones, under which they have produced four short films. “Selva” is their debut feature film.
