

Argentine artist and a pioneer of conceptual art, he was part of Argentina’s avant-garde scene in the 1960s. In 1968, he became the youngest Argentine artist to participate in the Venice Biennale. Known for his sculptures, performances, installations, and films, he lives and works between Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Paris. His filmography includes the shorts “A Study of the Relationships Between Inner and Outer Space” (1968), presented at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival; “‘Interview’ with Marguerite Duras” (1970); “To Pour Milk Into a Glass” (1972); “The Dictator” (1978), co-directed with Hildegarde Duane; and “In Our Time” (2018), as well as the mid-length films “Desert People” (1974) and “The Hand” (1976). “The Phantom” is his first feature film.
