Born in Catalão, in the Brazilian state of Goiás, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Cinema and Audiovisual from the Fluminense Federal University and in History from the Federal University of Goiás. He has written and directed more than 10 short films, screened and awarded at national and international festivals, as “Pedro Had a Horse” (2023), “Mr. Fox” (2019), “Neptune” (2017) and “Tatame” (2016), among others. Daniel directed and wrote the documentaries “Paulistas” (2017) and “Mr. Leather” (2019), screened at BAFICI and Frameline; as well as the fiction films “Dry Wind” (2020), which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival; and “Only Good Things” (2025).
