Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1974, he is a filmmaker and artist whose practice encompasses film, sound and the visual arts. He is currently the Programme Director of the art residency and cultural program Fabrica, in Italy, and a visiting professor at Dartmouth College in the USA and at the Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid (ECAM), in Spain. His films include “Aral, Fishing in an Invisible Sea” (2004), “Solitude at the End of the World” (2006), “Hunters Since the Beginning of Time” (2008) and “Cemetery” (2019), which have been screened at festivals like Venice, Rotterdam, FIDMarseille, BAFICI and Documenta Madrid. His artworks and installations have been presented internationally in solo and group exhibitions, in contemporary art biennials, museums, cultural spaces and institutions.
