Born in Belgium in 1976. She studied audiovisual arts at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. Alongside her work as a director, she was a casting director for films such as “The Misfortunates” (2009), directed by Felix van Groeningen and screened at the 33rd Mostra. She directed the short films “Meneer Frits” (1998), “Buiten Adem!” (1999), and “Dura Lex” (2011). Her award-winning first feature film, “The Best of Dorien B.” (2019), was presented at the 43rd Mostra and the Rotterdam Film Festival. For television, she directed the mini-series “Juliet” and episodes of “Red Light”, which won two awards at Canneseries. “Dust” is her second feature film.
