A scriptwriter and director, Angelica Ruffier was born in Luleå, Sweden, raised in France, and has lived in Sweden since 2017. She holds a Master’s degree in documentary directing from the Stockholm University of the Arts. “La Belle Année” is her feature debut, one of three projects to win the Swedish Film Institute’s Wild Card in 2023.
