Alexander Murphy is a Franco-Irish documentary filmmaker. His films explore themes of heritage and cultural uprooting, focusing on the youth of traditional communities and marginalized groups from across the world. He directed the short films “Of Soul and Joy” (2023) and “Ndao Hanavao” (2024) before making his first feature film, “Goodbye Sisters” (2025). “Tin Castle” is his second documentary feature.
