A Mexican filmmaker, Alejandra Pérez González earned a degree in Animation from Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida. She has worked as a character designer, storyboard artist, and animation supervisor, contributing to productions such as “Here Comes the Grump” (2018), “La Liga de los 5” (2020) and “Xico’s Journey” (2020). In 2019, she co-founded MUMA, an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting women in the animation industry. “My Friend the Sun” is her first feature film.
