Brothers Adam and Zack Khalil are American filmmakers and artists, Ojibwe from Michigan, who live and work in New York. Their work addresses Native American history through forms of nonfiction. They made their filmmaking debut with the feature “INAATE/SE/” (2016), which tells the story of their Native nation. Together, they have also made short films such as “The Violence of a Civilization without Secrets” (2018), presented at the Sundance Film Festival. Their work as artists, both in partnership (as part of the collective New Red Order) and individually, has been shown at museums and biennials around the world, including MoMA, Tate Modern, Palais de Tokyo, and HKW.
