The film is based on real testimonies and follows the difficult journey of a young girl who lives in a village in Northern Peru, by the Amazon River, in a landscape devastated by goldmines exploration. Seeking a better life, the character leaves her village. But her plans go wrong and she is forced into prostitution, losing, step by step, her moral and physical integrity. The girl’s traumatic odyssey intertwines with the environment devastation, caused by industrial society.
