Yuichi Ishii is the CEO of Family Romance, LLC, a company that surrogates humans to the clients that need help in their routine: somebody to take the blame at work, a family member to attend a social event, a stranger to help the clients relive their best moments in life. One day, Ishii meets a woman who asks for a man to impersonate her long gone husband and reconnect with her teenage daughter.
