A week in the life of Boris Arkadiev, a Sovietic stand-up humorist. He is under great pressure: he is a famous comedian, but he is also insecure and suffers with the censorship is his country. Boris feels even worse when his censors invite him to do comedy shows, as if he was some kind of jester. Tired of receiving orders about the jokes that he can (or cannot) make, Boris arms himself with a “insult humor” and takes his revenge.
