During an industrial boom, a businessman, who had been a left-wing militant in his youth, gets into conflict with himself, pressured by the entrance of foreign capital in his country. He tries to soften and his afflictions and his existential void with sex, but everything gets worse when his wife kills herself and his lover leaves him.
